Since today is a workday for me, I have decided to share some of my regular places on the Internet that I visit from work that make me feel as though I contribute more than my meager salary will allow.
We all need to and would like to help, but sometimes money and time restrains make this less than feasible. These links are a great place to help those less fortunate than ourselves. All it takes is a click a day to help.
Our first visit on the tour of giving The Animal Rescue Site; this helps pay for food and care of the rescue animals. The second stop on our journey of helping other is The Hunger Site; one click equates to cup of food to the hungry. Our third stop is The Breast Cancer Site; the sponsors donate a free mammogram for a mere click. The fourth stop on our journey of kindness for our fellow humans is The Child Health Site; this site’s sponsors pay for children health care. Stop five is The Literacy Site; the sponsors here give books, to help combat illiteracy. Our last stop on this helping our world tour is just that The Rain Forest Site; here they protect the endangered habitats.
Everyone that I know has book marked one of these sites and then just click the top tabs daily. Every click helps, the sites have the number up on how much was donated in 2008.
There is one last site that not only helps fight world hunger, but it also helps increase my knowledge in the form of a game… Free Rice. I play at Free Rice when my student’s are taking their short afternoon naps.
Please this year, take a couple of minutes out of your surfing to just click on a few links and help our planet become a better place.
